The books in the study chamber(almirah) should be kept in the South-West, South or West direction and not in the North-East . if the North-East direction bears heavy weight it shall pressurize the student's mind.

The placement of study table is important for concentration. You should place study table facing East Do make sure that the child should face East while studying. The table should not stick to the wall.

घर का मुख्य द्वार और वास्तु
घर का मुख्य द्वार सभी सुखों को देने वाला होता है। यह भवन का मुख्यांग होने के कारण एक प्रकार से मुखिया है। वास्तुपद रचना के अनुसार यदि द्वार की स्थिति सही हो तो कई दोषों का स्वत: ही निवारण हो जाता है और सुख, समृद्धि, स्वास्थ्य व यश-कीर्ति में वृद्धि होती है।

वास्तुशास्त्रों में द्वार की रचना पर बहुत जोर दिया गया है। द्वार को जितना सुंदर और मजबूत बनाने पर जोर है, उससे कहीं अधिक बल इस बात पर है कि यह वास्तुपद सम्मत हो। भवन की जो लंबाई चौड़ाई हो, उसे वास्तु पदानुसार आठ-आठ रेखाएं डालकर 64 पदों में बांट दें और दिशानुसार वहां द्वार रखें। यह नियम मुख्य भवन सहित चारदीवारी के प्रधान द्वार के लिए भी लागू होता है।

विवाह जीवन का सबसे अहम पल होता है। कई बार विवाह में अड़चने आती हैं। इसके कई कारण हो सकते हैं। वास्तु दोष भी उन्हीं में से एक है। यदि इन वास्तु दोषों को दूर कर दिया जाए तो जिसके विवाह में अड़चने आ रही होती है उसका विवाह अतिशीघ्र हो जाता है। नीचे ऐसे ही कुछ वास्तु नियमों के बारे में जानकारी दी गई है-

विवाह योग्य युवती को नेरित्य कोण (उत्तर पश्चिम) में नहीं सुलाना चाहिईं !

विवाह योग्य युवती को उत्तर पश्चिम में सुलाना चाहिईं !

यदि विवाह प्रस्ताव में व्यवधान आ रहे हों तो विवाह वार्ता के लिए घर आए अतिथियों को इस प्रकार बैठाएं कि उनका मुख घर में अंदर की ओर हो। उन्हें द्वार दिखाई न दे।

यदि मंगल दोष के कारण विवाह में विलंब हो रहा हो तो उसके कमरे के दरवाजे दक्षिण में ना हो !
विवाह योग्य युवक-युवती के कक्ष में कोई खाली टंकी, बड़ा बर्तन बंद करके नहीं रखें। अगर कोई भारी वस्तु हो तो उसे भी हटा दें।
विवाह योग्य युवक-युवती जिस पलंग पर सोते हों उसके नीचे लोहे की वस्तुएं या व्यर्थ का सामान नहीं रखना चाहिए।
यदि विवाह के पूर्व लड़का-लड़की घर वालों की रजामंदी से मिलना चाहें तो बैठक व्यवस्था इस प्रकार करें कि उनका मुख दक्षिण दिशा की ओर न हो।
यदि घर के कमरे में वास्तु दोष हो तो विवाह की बात अन्य स्थान पर करें।

उत्तर दिशा : घर की इस दिशा में कैश व आभूषण जिस अलमारी में रखते हैं, वह अलमारी भवन की उत्तर दिशा के कमरे में दक्षिण की दीवार से लगाकर रखना चाहिए। इस प्रकार रखने से अलमारी उत्तर दिशा की ओर खुलेगी, उसमें रखे गए पैसे और आभूषण में हमेशा वृद्धि होती रहेगी।

घर के खाद्यान्न रखने के कमरे में यदि घर के गहने, पैसे, आभूषण, कपड़े इत्यादि रखे जाएँ या यह सामान रखने का ही एक भाग हो तो ऐसे लोग पैसे उधार देने का काम करते हैं या ऐसे लोग लग्जरी आइटम या बड़े सौदों का काम कर पैसा कमाते हैं।

उत्तर की रसोई -गृहणी रोगिणी होई-----

रसोई घर किसी भी भवन का मुख्य अंग है.यही वह स्थान है जहाँ से सम्पूर्ण परिवार का स्वास्थ्य सञ्चालन होता है.यह रसोई पकाने वाले पर निर्भर करता है कि वह सदस्यों को स्वस्थ एवं जीवंत रखने लायक भोजन उपलब्ध कराये.परन्तु रसोई की मालकिन गृहणी का स्वास्थ्य रसोई की दिशा पर निर्भर करता है.वास्तु शास्त्र क़े अनुसार रसोई घर भवन की दक्षिण -पूर्व दिशा (S . E .) अर्थात आग्नेय कोण में स्थित होना चाहिए. ऐसे स्थान पर पकाया गया भोजन सुपाच्य और स्वास्थ्यवर्धक होता है तथा गृहणी का स्वास्थ्य भी उत्तम रखता है.आग्नेय कोण दिशा का स्वामी शुक्र ग्रह होता है और शुक्र स्त्रियों का कारक ग्रह है.आजकल लोग वास्तु शास्त्र क़े अज्ञान से तथा अन्य कारणों से मन चाहे स्थानों पर रसोई निर्मित करा लेते हैं परिणाम स्वरूप गृहणी पर उसका दुष्प्रभाव भी पड़ सकता है.

उत्तर दिशा धन क़े देवता कुबेर की होती है.इस स्थान पर रसोई घर बनाने से धन का अपव्यय होता है.उत्तर दिशा पुरुष कारक वाली है अतः स्त्री का स्वास्थ्य क्षीण होता है.उत्तर दिशा की रसोई वाली गृहणियां अल्पायु में ही वीभत्स रोगों का शिकार हो जाती हैं.३० -३५ आयु वर्ग की गृहणियां गम्भीर ऑपरेशनों का सामना कर चुकी हैं. प्रौढ़ महिलाएं ,अल्सर /कैसर से पीड़ित हैं.जिन लोगों ने बाद में उत्तर दिशा में रसोई स्थानांतरित कर दी है उनमे से एक गृहिणी आये दिन अस्पताल क़े चक्कर काटने लगी है. एक साधन सम्पन्न परिवार की गृहिणी जिनके घर क़े ईशान कोण (N E ) में शौचालय क़े कारण पुरुष वर्ग प्रभावित था ही उत्तर में रसोई कर दिए जाने क़े बाद कमर व घुटनों क़े दर्द तथा मानसिक अवसाद से पीड़ित रहने लगी है.
सारांश यह कि उत्तर की रसोई न केवल गृहणी हेतु वरन सम्पूर्ण परिवार क़े लिए हानिदायक होती है.

वास्तु शास्त्र की उत्पत्ति शिव के दुआर‘अंखदासुर-वध’ से प्रकट हुई ! वास्तु शास्त्र शिव का ही क्रोदित रूप हैं ! इस लियें कोई भी इस सें नहीं बच सकता ! वास्तु दोष अगर कही भी हो शिव की किरपा सें ही दोष मिट सकता हैं ! विशालाक्ष अर्थात् भगवान् शिव ने वास्तुशास्त्र की रचना की थी।
‘मृत्स्यपुराण’ के अध्याय 252 में स्पष्ट उल्लेखित है कि इस शास्त्र के कुल अट्ठारह उपदेश्टा हैं। यथा—
भृगुरत्रिर्शिष्टश् विश्वकर्मा मयस्तथा।।
नारदो नग्नजिच्चैव विशालाक्षः पुरन्दरः।।
ब्रह्मा कुमारो नन्दीक्षः, शैनको गर्ग अवच।।
वासुदेवो अनिरुद्श्च तथा शुक्रबृहस्पती।।
आष्टा दशैते विख्याता वास्तु शास्त्रोपदेशकाः।।
अर्थात्, भृगु, अत्रि, वशिष्ठ, विश्वकर्मा, मय नारद, नग्नजित, विशालाक्ष, पुरन्दर, ब्रह्मा कुमार, नन्दीश, शौनक, गर्ग, वासुदेव, अनुरुद्ध, शुक्र और ब्रहस्पति ये अट्ठारह वास्तुशास्त्र के उपदेष्टा प्रसिद्ध हैं।
विशेष उल्लेखित है कि इन 18 उपदेष्टाओं में से विश्वकर्मा का वास्तुशास्त्र नामक ग्रन्थ अब भी प्रसिद्ध है। ‘मय’ के ‘मयमतम्’ नामक ग्रन्थ में वास्तु प्रकरण पर्याप्त दिया गया है। गन्धारराज नग्नजित धृतराष्ट्र के श्वरसुर महाराज सुबल के पिता थे। इन्होने वास्तुशास्त्र एवं आयुर्वैदिक विषयक एक-एक पृथक-पृथक ग्रन्थ की रचना की थी और इन्हीं के वास्तुशास्त्र ग्रन्थ के आधार पर गन्धार की प्रस्तर मूर्ति-कला बहुत प्रसिद्ध हुई।
